Reading List

In our experience, the pilgrimage is most meaningful when pilgrims have done some reading ahead of time to learn (or be reminded) about the history of the Methodist movement, the lives of the Wesleys, and the theology they taught and lived. If you have been to seminary, you may have read (and may even already own) many of these titles.

Note: You do not need to bring these books with you to England. The only book you need to bring with you is your Pilgrim’s Journal, which will be mailed to you a few weeks before departing for England. Your Pilgrim’s Journal will include resources for study, small group discussion, note-taking, and daily worship.
