Our Mission as Pilgrims
The mission of the Wesley Pilgrimage in England is to explore and reflect upon the practices of Christ-centered missional leadership taught and practiced by John and Charles Wesley. Our aim is to grow as a faithful leaders for The United Methodist Church and its mission to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.
On this trip, we will be pilgrims more than tourists.
A pilgrim is a person who journeys to a sacred place as an act of religious devotion.
On this trip, we will primarily be pilgrims, not tourists. A tourist is a person making a tour or visit on vacation; a person traveling for pleasure. As we travel together visiting places important to the formation of the Methodist movement, we will be pilgrims and tourists. But we will be primarily pilgrims.
